My Top 10 Favorite YouTubers

Here is a list of my favorite YouTubers that help me procrastinate every day.

The past few years, YouTube has become more and more popular for regular entertainment. It has evolved from a site for silly animal videos and stupid fails to weekly and daily entertainment where many people can make a living. I watch YouTube more than television and I follow many YouTubers that release content on a consistent basis. Here are my top 10 YouTube Channels and YouTubers that I follow.

10. Game Grumps

The Game Grumps are a group of people who play video games together. They release one video a day and play games like Mario Maker, Dark Souls III and Pokemon Art Acadamey.

9. VlogBrothers


The Vlogbrothers are brothers Hank and John Green who share a youtube channel. They started that channel as a challenge called "Brotherhood 2.0". They were only allowed to communicate via their YouTube channel, each making one video a week. The videos were only allowed to be four minuets or less. They are punished if they miss a video or make one longer than four minuets.

8. JacksFilms

JacksFilms is most famous for his series called Your Grammar Sucks where he reads comments from Youtube, Facebook and Twitter that are grammaticaly wrong. He uses them to create songs and raps.

7. Markiplier


Markiplier is a gamer from Cincinati, OH. He releases two videos a day and is known for his contagious laugh and being the self proclaimed King of Five Nights at Freddy's, a popular horror game.

6. Good Mythical Morning

Good Mythical Morning is a morning show that releases a video every weekday. Rhett and Link host the show and play games, read news. and taste test strange foods for the viewers enjoyment.

5. Team Edge

Team Edge is a new channel that releases videos every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They compete in challenges to earn points towards the Edge Games.

4. Philip Defranco

Philip Defranco makes videos every weekday giving his viewers "Phil'd in" on the news around the world. He also makes some weird videos on the weekend that are a fun relief from the tragic news.

3. Mattanda

Matthias and Amada, besides being the cutest married couple alive, create daily vlogs that give viewers a sneak peek into their life. They document their adventures while getting ready for their bundle of joy, Luna Elenora, to arrive.

2. Rooster Teeth

Rooster Teeth is a production company based out of Austin, TX. They produce podcasts, game shows, gaming videos and most recently a full length movie, documentary and a new show called "Day 5"

1. Jacksepticeye


Jacksepticeye is an Irish gamer whose channel has blown up in the past year. He is known for playing silly games that don't make any sense, screaming instead of talking, and staying very involved and connected with his fans.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
