Remember That Tomorrow Is Always A New Day

Sometimes I think we all get wrapped up in our bad days, I mean, how couldn't we? Bad days consume us. Days where nothing feels as though it is going right. One after another, bad things pile up and suck us into a vortex of suck-age. One important thing to remember about bad days though: they always end. At some point, we lay down to go to sleep, and as our eyes are fluttering, fighting the sleepy pull into darkness, we drift away. And as our eyes peel open the next morning, something magical is discovered: a new dawn, a new day.

Sometimes as I am going through bad days I literally just think, "Man, I can't wait until this day is over." The important part to remember is that the day will be over, eventually, turning a new page for the next day.

The important thing I want to point out is the importance of a new day. The significance of being able to start over the next day is having the ability to control how you react, think, and cope with the day events from the day before. Often times while the bad day is occurring it feels terrible, as though there are no solutions and ends. The benefit of a new day is the ability to reflect on how the day events from the day before have impacted you and how you can go further.

Another benefit of remembering that tomorrow is always a new day is that there are ends to the bad days. We wake up with a brand new ability to control the outcome of how the day goes. Sure, things may go wrong, but the day after a bad one always signifies a miniature fresh start. You are in control of the way the day goes.

So my parting advice is to truly remind yourself that tomorrow is a new day. Sure, today's worries may very well be tomorrow's worries, too. But the good thing is, again, you can control how you react to it and what steps you can do to minimize the stress, worry, or overall anguish. You can control your thoughts and what you do about them.

Relish in turning the page. Relish in flipping over the new leaf. The cool thing about life is that it is what we make of it, and tomorrow, you can make it whatever you please.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
