The time has approached. You're finally going to be graduating from high school and are getting ready for the most exciting time of your life. You suddenly realize that you don't have a clue about college life. I'm here to give you tips I wish I knew before starting college. Although this is a very fun experience, it can also be very scary.

1. Before moving into your dorm, be sure to try to contact your roommate.

This will make it a lot easier when you move in because you will have already started getting to know them.

2. Once you move in, be sure to talk to your roommate and discuss likes and dislikes when it comes to the room.

3. Discuss a plan with your roommate.

For example, if your roommate goes to sleep early try to work around their schedule. They should try to do the same for you.

4. Make sure you're on time for class, you are able to get a good seat.

5. Take notes in class.

This will help you out a lot because your test questions are more than likely going to come from the notes. Also, the professor isn't going to tell you what to write. So be sure to listen carefully, and listen for cues.

6. Make sure you make friends with your peers.

You never know if you're going to miss a class and need a note buddy.

7. Ask questions!

I know it can be scary to ask a question in a big group setting, but at the end of the day, it is your education. If you're uncomfortable with asking in front of everyone, you can always ask your professor after class.

8. Choose healthy food.

9. Get a workout buddy.

10. Drink lots of water.

11. Get involved.

Don't just sit in your dorm room!

12. Go to campus events.

13. Find a club and join it.

There is a club for everybody.

14. Never go anywhere alone.

15. Be safe.

16. Don't be afraid to try new things.

17. Don't change yourself to fit in because that never turns out right.

18. Take lots of pictures!
