With elections just happening, this would be my very first time voting, and I know just like it was for me, it would be an experience for everyone out there. Voting is important, and your thoughts through the process might be the same as mine, here is what went through my mind as a first-time voter!

1. Wait, I can actually vote?

That moment where you're not even sure if you're allowed to vote or not cause you never done it before. If it didn't happen to you, it sure happened to me, it was a kind of surreal realization, that I could indeed go vote.

2. How does voting even work...?

Yeah, I know I want to vote, but how does this work again? Is not like anyone thought us how to do this in high school, right...?

3. Can I vote anywhere?

What does the place even look like? What if I'm in my hometown? Can I not vote then? WHAT DO I DO!?! But don't stress yourself out - ask around if you're not sure, everything will work out and your vote will go through!

4. Waiting in line like, “Who was I even voting for?”

You know, that moment you're in line, you're ready for this, but as you get closer and closer to the front of the line, you suddenly blank...who was I voting for again? I'm pretty sure I had all of this figure out before I got here, but don't worry, when the moment comes, you will know what to do.

5. Oh, wait! I’m next!

It's finally time, the moment you been waiting on this whole time, you got this!

6. How does this machine work?

These machines are weird, do I really need to read all of this instruction? OMG, I just tried to touch the screen, guess what I learned from that? It's not a touchscreen kind of technology, just breath no one saw and you'll get through it... I guess I'm reading the instructions.

7. Okay, I've got this, I’m ready!

I finally figured out how the machine works. No time like now, let's do this!

8. Finally, I did it!

You submit your ballot, you walk away, and then you realized you actually just did that! Congrats to you, you're officially a first-time voter.

9. *Takes sticker pic*

However, we all know you can't make it official without taking that sticker picture, so grab your sticker, take the picture and NOW you're officially a first-time voter. You did it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
