6 Things I Hope To See In 'Stranger Things' Season 3

In This Article:

If you're caught up on Netflix's original series "Stranger Things", you probably have a lot of questions. I do, too! Here are all of the questions I want to see answered in the third season.

Who is this dude?

Stranger Things 3 | Official Trailer

Wikipedia tells me this is Mayor Kline, but why is he only showing up now? If he wasn't important, he wouldn't have shown up in the trailer. What sort of politic-related plot points could we be in for, other than the opening of Starcourt Mall? Perhaps a new branch of Hawkins National Lab? Is he Dr. Brenner in disguise? Probably not, but we've seen weirder.

What are Nancy and Jonathan doing at the Hawkins Post?

Stranger Things 3 | Official Trailer

More importantly, who told Nancy that hairstyle was a good idea?

Just kidding. But really, are Nancy and Jonathan planning on releasing some sort of exposé on Hawkins Lab? Are they finally ready to tell the truth about Hawkins and what happened to Will and Barb? Or, maybe they are applying for a job? Something less intense? With the Duffer brothers, you never know.

What will happen to Billy?

Stranger Things 3 | Official Trailer

When Billy was introduced, I was immediately interested in his character. Sure, he's a major doucheface, but so was Steve when he was introduced. I want to know where Billy's development is heading. Will he become a better person? A worse one? Is he going to end up in some sort of illicit relationship with Karen Wheeler (don't look at me like that, we all saw that scene in episode 9)? We know he's Hawkins's new lifeguard, so maybe that'll teach him some responsibility, but it probably won't. At the very least, he'll get to work on his tan.

Who is Robin?

Stranger Things 3 | Official Trailer

Obviously, she works with Steve in "Scoops Ahoy", but how much involvement will she have with the main plot? Will she become best friends with Nancy? (Although NO ONE can replace Barb. #JusticeForBarb.) Could she be Steve's new love interest since Nancy is with Jonathan? Or is she just along for the ride? Either way, I'm interested to see what new dynamic she brings to the group.

How will Max and Eleven's friendship develop?

Netflix

It was no secret that Eleven wasn't a huge fan of Max, in the beginning, worrying that Max would take her place in the party. This promo picture released by Netflix tells us that their feelings of animosity towards one another won't last very long, thankfully. I'm excited to see how they become friends and where their new friendship takes them. Perhaps to the beach, like we see in the trailer?

What the heck is this thing?

Stranger Things 3 | Official Trailer

I really thought that season two's "Big Bad" would be the Thessalhydra, mentioned in the season one epilogue, but it turned out to be the Mind Flayer. Could the writers have been saving it for season three? Whatever it is, I'm surprised they showed it in the trailer. Maybe this isn't the Big Bad? Could there be something worse that we don't know about? Either way, this has huge implications. Maybe the gate didn't really close at the end of season two, or maybe Will wasn't really cured of his upside-down-affliction.

"One summer can change everything." Make sure to watch Stranger Things 3 on Netflix this July, 4th 2019!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
