The Wrecks

LA natives, The Wrecks have taken the US by storm in the short 3 years they've been a band. Coming off of their summer tour with All Time Low, the release of "Panic Vertigo" has changed the game for them completely. Panic Vertigo is the band's first self-produced EP and it will be sure to carry the band into new, uncharted territory. Comprised of Nick Anderson, Aaron Kelley, Nick Schmidt, Westen Weiss, and Billy Nally, the band has no shortage of unique influences and plenty of personality.

Panic Vertigo features 5 tracks, each one better than the last. The EP has a very rock/indie vibe through and through. The first track, "Figure This Out," is the angsty pre-breakup anthem we've all been waiting for. Track two, "James Dean," tackles the ongoing debate of whether or not being all that or not is worth the stress. Because at the end of the day, the best thing to be, is geeky you. Following up "Figure This Out," is "Way With Words," which is the post-breakup, "Did you really want this and are you happy?" punk song that'll have you itching to break up with your significant other. (Well, maybe not, but still.)

The title track, "Panic Vertigo," is exactly as it sounds; a song for when you're feeling a little crazy, a little unbalanced, a little anxious, a little...not yourself. It lets you know you're not alone and you're perfectly fine being the panicky, anxious little bean that you are. Finally, the last track, "Revolution," leaves you wishing the EP went on and on. Pick up your pitchforks, let's start a revolution!

Whether you come for the good looks, stay for the music, or the fun times their live shows bring, The Wrecks are sure to offer something for everyone.

Be sure to catch them on their latest tour, Fry Your Brain With The Maine all April through May!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
