The Suicide Squad movie is just around the corner, and I figured for those who don't know a whole lot about comic books then the squad for the most part is going to be made up of characters you are unfamiliar with. Even for some comic book fans they are a little unfamiliar (I'm sorry, Slipknot). I'm not going to count Amanda Waller, the Squad's government handler, as part of the squad. I am also not going to count the Joker because he isn't technically a part of the squad, he would actually need to stay in jail for that to work Batman.

1. Slipknot

Christopher Weiss, a chemist who created a formula that makes ropes nearly indestructible, as well as a trained assassin. He all of a sudden goes from being a useless guy with ropes to a trained assassin with indestructible ropes, which is a huge difference. The ropes become exponentially more practical in a team setting.

2. Captain Boomerang

Digger Harkness, more commonly known as Captain Boomerang, is a frequent villain of the Flash. Despite seeming useless, he is quite the opposite, a very deadly assassin and incredible engineer, he has a wide array of boomerangs. Ranging from explosive to adhesive, he has a 'rang for every occasion.

3. Enchantress

June Moon was just freelance artist attending a costume party. It is where she runs into a magical being who gives her unlimited magic powers. All she has to say is "The Enchantress" and boom she is ready to kick some butt or be a criminal.

4. Katana

Tatsu Yamashiro may be one of the more tragic members of the squad, her sword consumes the souls of those it kills. One of those souls being her husband as he was killed by his brother. Katana is the most heroic out of the entire squad, doing what she does for justice.

5. Rick Flag

Rick Flag is the leader of the squad and the only one of them who doesn't have a bomb in his neck. The Squad listens to him or they blow up. Something none of them want, well except maybe Harley. Rick Flag acts as their commanding officer and the rest of them follow his orders.

6. Harley Quinn

Dr. Harleen Quinzel was the psychiatrist who was working with the Joker. She volunteered to work with him. She eventually fell in love with him and became everyone's favorite jester, Harley Quinn.

7. Deadshot

Floyd Lawton, the world's most deadliest and accurate marksman alive is a constant member of the squad. He is an assassin who has no regard for human life, especially his own. He doesn't care if he dies, and this makes him a very dangerous man.

8. Killer Croc

Waylon Jones, is a man with a genetic condition that gives him a crocodile appearance. He sometimes has cannibalistic tendencies, but is it really cannibalism if he is basically a crocodile?

9. El Diablo

Chato Santana's tattoo's are more than just for show, they fuel his power. Whenever he uses his fire powers he loses some of his tattoos. He has to constantly get inked in order for him to be strong. Santana is actually the third person to wear the mantle of El Diablo, receiving his powers from the original El Diablo who was in a coma and later died.

There you have it, the members of the Suicide Squad that are set to appear on the silver screen this weekend. It looks like it a lot of the elements of their stories are going to be incorporated in one way or another, and I for one am excited to see their team dynamic. And by that I want to see how a team of criminals try to get along.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
