Poetry On Odyssey: "Rumors"
Their mouths run, their lies are told, but no one will believe them for long, because I will tell the truth, and I will destroy their rumours
Their mouths run
Their lies are told
But everyone believes them
Because they heard it from them first
I try to tell the truth
They say I'm the liar
That I'm trying to hijack the truth
When I want everyone to know the truth
No one knows their intentions
They act innocent about it
They don't want their reputation ruined
But they already ruined it
By opening their mouth
I feel trapped
Like I'm at the bottom of the ocean
And everyone refuses to help
Because they don't know the truth
They think they know my intentions
They think they know me
But they don't
They only know someone's fantasy image of me
Their words cut through my heart
I feel like I have a sign on my head
"Do Not Befriend This Psychopath"
In big flashing red letters
Their mouths run
Their lies are told
But no one will believe them for long
Because I will tell the truth
And I will destroy their rumours
