Take Your Time To Let Go, But You Don't Have To Let Go Of The Memories
Let go of the past and move forward.
Letting go is hard. You completely give yourself to someone. You spent every day with someone, getting to know them, figuring out the things they like and don't like. Being with someone every day and learning to be with them you start to see a future with them. Something happens and you slowly start to fade away, let's even say you start to lose a piece of you. It's like your relationship was a completely wonderful puzzle and you lost a piece and now it isn't complete.
I have loved someone. Honestly, he was a big part of my life for a very long time and I remember telling him that we are going to be together forever and we are going to date in college no matter what. Well, guess what, we aren't dating anymore. I don't hate him, I am not mad at him. It is the complete opposite actually. I wish him all the best in his life and his future relationships. I will not love him.
With that I mean I took the time to get to know him and gave him my love and when you aren't with that person anymore I just didn't turn off that love for him. It's in a different way yes, I have that friendship love for him, I will be there for him if he needs it. I am a strong believer in that if God has two people that are meant to be together then they will be together. Maybe we were just meant to be in each other's lives as friends and not in a relationship, we will never really know.
I can promise you after you break up with someone it will take time to get over it. Going directly into another relationship HELPS NOBODY! You need to take the time for yourself and get over that person to find yourself again, but hey what do I know if you're bouncing from person to person, do you I don't control your life. You just got your heart broken, so why would you want to go and break someone else's but hey like I said I don't control your life.
