With Thanksgiving break already upon us, we know what comes next. Finals and with finals people can get stressed sometimes. On top of the studying for finals, some might have projects or other assignments added to the mix. During these times there really isn't time to just take a break and breathe. I have seen a couple ideas to help someone relieve some of the stress they might feel during these rough couple of weeks ahead.
Talking to someone
Being able to talk to someone can help lift a few heavy thoughts on your mind. It can give you a break from all of the studying and just be with a friend or friends for a little while.
Writing in a journal
Writing in a journal can be the next best thing right next to talking to someone. Writing things down and being able to get it off of your chest and then get rid of it yourself. It could be kind of symbolic.
Deep Breathing
Just taking a minute or two to yourself to just breathe might just do the trick. Putting yourself in a clear and calm state of mind.
Watch Netflix
Sometimes it is just best to take a real break and relax. Turn a new movie or show for a while. Sit back, relax and prop your feet up.
Take a nap
I don't think there is a better fix than napping.
Read
Reading is one of my favorite pass times. Lose yourself in a book and not worry about anything else for a while.
Clean
I know that is not going to be anybody's first choice, but I promise it does help. Sometimes I just get in a cleaning mood and once I am finished I feel so much better.
Read a bible verse
"She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without the fear of the future" Proverbs 31:25. Everyone has a favorite and this just happens to be mine. It might help you.
Listen to your favorite song
Listening to your favorite song could possibly brighten your mood. If you are feeling a little risky, pick a song you don't listen to or one you have never heard of.
Take a bath
Just sitting back and relaxing in hot bath can melt all of your stresses away
