A Christmas List: By Saint Nick

Time to get into that Christmas spirit! I’m sure all the excited kiddos have written and sent out their list of wishes for old Saint Nick. What’s different about this year is that Santa has made his own list. Here's what good ol' Kris Kringle wants for Christmas this year!

Kris Kringle’s Christmas List:

  1. A happy, happy holiday for all my elves.
  2. A peaceful Christmas Eve for the lovely Mrs. Clause.
  3. A warm stable for my eight tiny reindeer.
  4. A joyful and Merry Christmas for all the families and friends on earth.
  5. A peaceful year for all the world.
  6. A never-ending supply of cookies (for me).
  7. Less pain, hunger, and illness in the world.
  8. For the cruel people on this earth to find warmth in their hearts.
  9. For mankind to set aside all differences and realize that they are all in need of each other (even if they don’t think they are).
  10. For people to treat each other better.
  11. For dysfunction to become a whisper of a legend long ago.
  12. For children to be children.
  13. For money to be less important and corrupting.
  14. For people to learn before they assume.
  15. For Christmas to be a gift and not a burden.
  16. For broken families to be made whole.
  17. For love to never die.
  18. For a healthy planet.
  19. For less hate.
  20. For a world that is a better place, to live, to love, to have fun, and be kind in.

Santa, like everyone, has a list of wishes. He writes his list in hope that it will find us because, in reality, his wishes are not for him, but for us.

Everyone have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
