Happy New Year, Readers!

This is my final piece for 2018. It is more of a poem for myself and what I seek for 2019. I have grown in many ways and finding importance in strong aura is one of them. Although written based on my experiences this year, I hope you find some inspiration to carry with you into 2019. Thank you to all who read my pieces. I am sending positive vibes to you for your own healthy aura. See you in 2019!

My aura is sacred to me

Each and every day, it keeps me aware

Of self and spiritual wealth

It is the part of my soul that keeps me centered

My aura is home to me

The more in tune I become, it keeps me safe

Of sound mind and heart divine

It is the hope that keeps me going

A star I wished upon

So brightly it shone:

'Please let this knew year help my aura

To burn more passionately than I've ever known.'

On the night before the new year turned,

I prayed that I become

Stronger

More determined

More in love

With all of the things life has to offer me

I prayed that I overcome

Fear

Negativity

Less belief

In all I am capable of doing

The moon I cried out to

So brightly it shone:

'Please help me to keep myself,

And all of the ways she's grown.'

When the night of the new year approaches,

I know it will be hard

I understand that things will become more challenging

The road will be longer

The doubt may come back

But I know that

In my aura, I can persevere and last

My aura is who I am

It is who I am becoming

And it is where I want to go

May the new year cultivate our determination

May it keep our fire burning

May it help me to dream

And place those dreams into reality

My aura is so very sacred to me

It is passion

It is love

It is healthy

It is progress

My aura is simply

Me, forever and always

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
