Disney movies are just the best. They have great animation, lovable characters, teach good lessons and are usually pretty funny and witty, and of course, they remind us of our childhood. It's always hard to pick a favorite Disney movie because they're all just too good, but the one that has stuck with me my whole life is "Lilo & Stitch." I know it's a "kid" movie, but I don't care, because in my opinion it's pretty much perfect. I'm sitting here with my Stitch tattoo on my wrist, wearing my Lilo and Stitch t-shirt, surrounded by my countless Stitch stuffed animals, clothes, bags, makeup brushes, phone case...I admit I'm a little obsessed, but here's why I love this movie sooo much.

1. The cutest main characters EVER.

If you don't think that a chubby little girl in a Hawaiian dress and a tiny blue alien are the cutest pair of best friends you've ever seen, I don't like you.

2. The unconventional family.

A lot of movies and TV shows make their characters way too perfect, and it can make the show hard to relate to and give people unrealistic expectations. In Lilo and Stitch, the sisters get into a screaming match in the first half hour of the movie. Relatable.

3. Nani in general.

Lilo's older sister Nani is praised a lot for being one of the only Disney women to not have a totally unrealistically skinny body, but still look amazing and be confident. She's also total sister goals, from when she gets Lilo a dog, then fights to keep her when the social worker visits, and then that heartbreaking scene in the hammock...I'm tearing up thinking about it.

4. Lilo is a badass.

It's the truth. Poor Lilo is imperfect and gets bullied quite a bit by Myrtle and her squad, but she totally stands up for herself. And it's kind of awesome and hilarious at the same time. She's like five but already confidence goals.

5. The Elvis references.

I will never get sick of that "Burning Love" montage.

6. The vacation vibe.

Who would've thought that Hawaii would be the perfect setting for a Disney movie about aliens? I don't even know why, but it works. Every time I watch this movie I feel like I'm going on vacation. And don't even get me started on how much I love "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride."

7. The friendship between Lilo and Stitch.

One of the overarching messages in this movie is that even if you feel like an outcast, there's someone out there for you. Watching these two little outcasts become best friends warms my heart every time.

8. The deep message.

Although Lilo and Stitch is cute and funny and great for kids, it's got a few really deep meanings. There's the classic message of "Ohana," and there's also some really great commentary about standing up for yourself and being a true friend. It really spreads the greatest message.

My tattoo-from the ending "This is my family. It's little. And broken. But still good. Yeah, still good."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
