1. Buy your dress off- season to ensure you get a cheap but good quality dress
2. Do not hire an official photographer for picture, but rather have one of your parents or friends take them for you
3. Also make sure to get ready ahead of time and everyone's on time. Especially for pictures, make sure to go before sunset.
5. Or carpool with friends in anyone's car or Uber-- it will be cheaper and mire fun!
6. If you have a date, make homemade corsages
7. Don't buy new shoes when wearing a long dress because they won't be seen regardless and because they'll be off for half the night while dancing
8. Get shoes on sale and shoes that you will wear again
9. Don't get your nails done buy press on/glue on nails which only cost around 7 dollars
9. Get one of your friends who is good at makeup to do yours so you don't have to pay for getting it done professionally
11. Get a friend to do your hair for you so you don't have to pay too much for it.

12. Plan your day or couple of days before so that you don't have to wait at places for long. For example, if you are going to get your nails done plan it and make a reservation.
13. Make reservations for your food before instead of walking in or order in at a local clubhouse and have everyone go there
14. Find a fancy restaurant that has a wide range of prices to fit everyone's budget.
15. Look on sites like Groupon for restaurants that offer cash back
16. Take care of your dress so you can rent it out or sell it the following year
17. Look for dresses/shoes/accessories in stores that are going out of business because they always offer high discounts
18. If you find an inexpensive dress that doesn't fit well, it costs less money to get it tailored than to get another
19. Wear jewelry you already have- it doesn't have to be fancy because sometimes sweet and simple does the trick
20. Get ready with friends so that it is more fun and you all can help each other get ready.

21. Most importantly have fun!
