Okay I'm gonna be honest, when I first heard of my girlfriends going to DryBar to get a 'blowout' was absolutely crazy. I always thought to myself "I'm paying for someone to wash my hair? Can't I just do that at home for free?" The answer is no and let me tell you why.
When I arrived for my DryBar appointment I was greeted with a big smile and positive attitude by the front desk - let me remind you this was around 9am. After I checked in, I sat on the cute chairs with my boyfriend and expressed my excitement and curiosity as to how this was going to go. Finally, my hair stylist called for me and brought me back to her cute bright yellow station with a big flatscreen in front of me playing reruns of the TV show The Hills. After getting to know each other, flipping through the lookbook, and ordering a coffee, I decided to go for the Mai Tai look and she took me right on back to wash my hair. I sat in the chair, let my hair back, and let the hair guru get to work. Although I don't remember the name, the products she used on my hair were beyond phenomenal. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling so clean and luscious which was something I only felt after leaving the hair salon after a trim. After the wash, we walked back to her station where my hot coffee was waiting and began the notorious 'blowout' portion. So there I was, drinking coffee, watching The Hills, and getting my hair blow dried and curled for me. Sounds like every girls dream right? Right. When the stylist was done, she swiveled my chair around for the 'big reveal' and let me tell you, I've never seen my hair so shiny, smells so good, and have perfect curls. Just like that, my DryBar experience was over and I was so sad to leave.
Ok, so if you're attending ANY special occasion and you have zero idea how you want to do your hair let the ladies at DryBar take care of you. I guarantee you won't regret it.
