Every college in good ol' North Carolina has certain unique aspects that make each one special and suit certain tastes, just like all the treats you find yourself indulging in guilt-free this time of year. While each school has their differences, at the end of the day each and every one of them has a sweet side!
1. East Carolina University- Fun Dip

ECU is known for their ability to have a good time. What candy defines the Pirates better than Fun Dip? Fun Dip isn't your conventional Halloween candy, but it's perfect for those in search of a sugar rush.
2. UNC Chapel Hill– Hershey Bar
The familiar clean and crisp Hershey bar is the popular candy that everybody knows, not unlike UNC's reputation around the country due to their athletic and academic achievements.

NC State's rural atmosphere only means one thing: Cow Tales. You can't take a trip there without spotting a cow or having Howling Cow ice cream. We all know the Wolf's favorite part of the cow is the tail!
4. Wake Forest University- Halloween Krispy Kreme Donut
Wake Forest is settled in the heart of Winston-Salem, the home of Krispy Kreme. Where the donuts come fresh, the students come great. Don't make a demon out of a deacon by stealing one of their sweets!

Nestled up in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, App is known for having a care-free nature. A good day for a Mountaineer is relaxing and having a good laugh with friends. Mellow yet exciting, nothing fits App better than Laffy Taffy!
6. Western Carolina- Kit Kat
c1.staticflickr.comKits Kats are always in your trick-or-treat bag, but no one ever goes for a Kit Kat first. They aren't flashy, so they are easy to ignore. But the ones who choose to break into that bar find that it actually deserves more attention. Even though Western is a smaller school doesn't mean it isn't great!
7. UNC Asheville- 3 Musketeers
A good, solid candy bar, but under-appreciated due to being overpowered by the other candy bars. UNC Asheville is often overlooked since everyone talks about App and Western when referring to the mountain schools. But just like a 3 Musketeer, UNCA is loyal and proud to do their own thing.
8. UNC Wilmington- Swedish Fish
UNC Wilmington students always seem to be the sweetest people, and they spend so much time at the beach that they are basically fish! Swedish Fish may not be the most popular treat, but they are destined to be the favorite of any true beach bum.
9. UNC Greensboro- Skittles
UNCG embraces diversity, and the people's personalities are so colorful! Does anyone have a problem with Skittles? Unlikely. They just mind their own business and live life large as the colors of the rainbow.
10. Duke- 100 Grand Bar
Aside from the 100 Grand bar describing the actual cost of attending Duke, it takes some of the best aspects of a candy bar and pushes them all into one, just like the university!
11. UNC-Charlotte- Wendy's JR Frosty Coupon

Getting one of these means you'll get the sweet treat…just not right now when you want it. The developing football team and constant construction requires UNCC students to learn the lesson of patience. However, once everything is in the clear, it's bound to be as delicious as a Wendy's Frosty!
12. Elon- Twix
Since not too many people know much about Elon or the students there, one common Halloween treat describes them the best: Twix. Twix is that candy that is kinda fancy, but you also don't really know what's in it. But whether you understand it or not, it's still a delicious treat!
