My Best Friend Of  7 Years Isn't My Friend, She Is My Sister

I can proudly call you the sister I've never had.

Hey, You are probably reading this right now. You have been there for me like no one else has and I wanted to write this down, and share it with everyone else.

You and I are sisters, there is no use in putting the word 'like' in that statement because you are not like my sister you are. You are the first woman I go to about relationship problems, if I feel unsafe somewhere, or even I just need someone to talk to. You are my person, and I would not trade you for anyone else.

Yeah, we have had our fair share of ups and downs, but any friend of our length is bound to have occasional rough patches.

I still remember us talking in the lunch line in sixth grade, it was simple and we did not talk too much after that, but then we happened to end up sitting next to each other in lunch the next year. We would pass notes in class, ranging from random useless things to problems we were having in life.

We stood by each other when we both felt alone and we have been inseparable ever since. You and I are like kindred spirits, and It feels like I have known you since I was a small child. Together the two of us have been through an insane amount of things.

We have been mistaken for sisters since we were fourteen, helped each other through tough relationships, performed together in color guard, dealt with the seemingly endless drama that followed us, became co-workers a one point, you and your family let me stay with you when I needed a place to stay, and we constantly bug each other.

I can not tell you how grateful I am for all the times you have listened to me whine, cry, and even rant over my ex, through all the times you and I 'stopped' being friends, and for all those late nights where I needed someone to just keep me company as I did my homework or someone to talk to when I decide to go to the dining hall by myself.

You have supported me through thick and thin, you helped pick me up when I fell into pieces. Lord knows I have done the same for you. We both have been each other's first line of defense and attack.

With you asking me to be your maid of honor when the time for your wedding to comes, I realize just how much we have been through as friends. We are more than sisters or friends, words can not describe my gratitude, and (friendly) love I have for you.

I can not wait to see what the future has in store for us. I can not wait to see you marry the man of your dreams, start a family and be there supporting you through it all. I can not wait for our future kids to grow up together as childhood friends, for us to grow old together, and to show the world just what the two of us are truly capable of.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
