"Maybe one day we'll find that place where you and I could be together. And we'll catch our dreams within the waves of change. So smile for me one last time and believe that we'll meet again. Until then, i'll be missing you." R.M. Drake
I find it beautifully tragic that sometimes in life we meet that one person that starts a fire in our soul, the one you couldn't imagine spending a day without. But, at some point you both ended up being chaos to each others thoughts and poison to both of your hearts. This wonderful story took an unexpected turn and came to a sudden end. Sometimes, we meet our soul mates at the wrong point in time. A time where neither of us were ready to love with our entirety. But that doesn't mean we weren't meant to be. It just might have been the wrong time. And if it is meant to be, then that is exactly what it will be.
I love the thought that maybe we are going to meet again -- somewhere, somehow and someplace. We could be walking through the crowded city streets of New York around Christmas time and bump into each other, our eyes finally meeting again. We could be dancing in the crowded lawn of a Thomas Rhett concert and we both happen to be there, simply "dancing" into each other. Or maybe we'll meet in a coffee shop in a faraway city somewhere, somehow. We live in a big, crazy world and if fate is on our side there is nothing that will keep us apart.
But, maybe I won't meet you again. However, there is no denying that you started a fire inside of me; one that will forever burn. You see, we had a beautiful yet tragic story together. One that cannot be erased. If we are meant to be then we will find a way to be together. If we are not, then our short story is one for the best sellers and one that will always be meaningful.
This world is filled with the unknown. Maybe I won't meet you again, or maybe I will. And maybe we will never be right for each other again, but either way, there is such a beauty in the unknown that this world has for us. Whatever is in store for us, whether together or apart, will be the most brilliantly lit fire within itself.
