This past weekend marked 2016's Comic-Con International in San Diego. With lots of cosplayers (people dressed as movie and TV characters), celebrity appearances, and surprise trailers it was a paradise for those who love TV and movies alike. One of the heavy hitters of the convention was Marvel Studios. Multiple new movie and Netflix series trailers were announced and I could not be more excited. Let's run down what they did:
1. Brie Larson was announced as Captain Marvel
2. The Defenders series released its first trailer
3. A new Luke Cage trailer was released
4. The second trailer for Doctor Strange was released
5. Iron Fist is coming to Netflix
6. The Guardians of the Galaxy showed up
The cast of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 were at the convention. However, no footage or trailer was shown (that I know of at this point). Regardless, I am still very excited for the release of the film in 2017.
7. New movie logos were revealed
SO MUCH IS COMING. Marvel is going to be taking more of my money in the next few months with the much anticipated release of its new films and series as well. As a huge fan of Marvel it's safe to say that their fans have LOTS to look forward too.
*If I missed anything then I'm sorry! There was so much that happened and I'm very excited.
