5 Ways To Make 2019 Your Year

New year, new me.

5 Ways To Make 2019 Your Year

Make 2019 your best year yet with these five things!

1. Get into a routine

Whether it's working out every day or just simply making your bed every morning start to get into a routine. Write it into your planner or set reminder alarms on your phone to hold your self to it. Whatever you hope to achieve in the new year, get into the routine of doing it until I just become a daily part of your day.

2. Create a plan

Get a planner and use it! Write everything in your planner or on a calendar so you never miss a step. Keep yourself busy but don't take on too much. Make sure you make time for your friends and yourself. Plan out how you will achieve your goals in the new year.

3. Enjoy the little moments.

Avoid getting caught up in everything. Life is about the little moments that most people miss out on while dreaming of future events and wishing away time. Enjoy where you are now and enjoy the little moments of every day. Those will be the best times and the ones you remember best.

4. Love yourself.

Although it sounds simple, it is one of the most important things in your life. Take this year to focus on your self and become the best you that you can be. Choose you this year.

5. Find your happy.

Find what makes you happy this year. Do more of what makes you happy. Do more for yourself and start living and enjoying your life,

Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
