Everyone has that one band or singer that they just can't go a day without listening to.That one band that just drives you crazy every time you listen to them. Am I right or am I just crazy? I mean everyone has to have that one band or singer right? Whether they be One Direction or Metallica, you have to have one band that just consumes your life and all you can think about is them and their beautiful music. Well for me, that just so happens to be The 1975. Now, I was kind of late hopping on this bandwagon (about two years too late) but hey, I got here and I'm never turning back. I'm currently listening to their new album while writing this. I just can't help it. Their music is just so amazing and I just can't ever get enough of it. I literally spend hours a day listening to their albums over and over again. I could probably write a book about why I love them but I don't have time to write that and no one has time to read that. So instead, I have gathered 10 of the most important reasons as to why I am so completely obsessed with The 1975.

1. They have really deep lyrics

If you ever just take time to really listen to the lyrics, you realize how beautiful they really are.

2. All their songs sound different

I mean yeah they have a ton of upbeat or slow songs, but each ones sound so different from the last. You never know what you're going to get with them.

3. Their new album is FIRE

Just have you heard "A Change Of Heart" or "The Sound"? The entire album is so good and it's nothing like their first album. Just listen to it.

4. Every song has a story

I mean just listen to "Nana". The story is pretty obvious and really sad but that's what makes the song even better.

6. They don't let fame get to them

If you've ever watched an interview with The 1975, you see that they seem so normal. You would never guess that they are famous musicians. They just do what they love and they don't let that change that and I just love that about them. And Matty is just so sassy, who wouldn't love that?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
