John Krasinski Started His Own News Segment For 'Good News' And It's What The World Needs

John Krasinski, famous for his role as Jim Halpert in "The Office" and his directorial hit horror film "A Quiet Place," created a network dedicated to spreading good news in a time of crisis. His channel is called "SomeGoodNews" and it compiles feel-good news stories happening across the country and around the world.

After a tweet that garnered a huge amount of replies, he took to YouTube to create a dedicated space for good news.

During a pandemic, the news can be really depressing, focusing on all the bad things happening in our world and seemingly omitting the good things that are happening around the world both in response to the pandemic and not.

And though we can all agree that there needs to be more good news spreading through the world, especially during the coronavirus outbreak, not many people have been as outwardly inspired to actually create a space for that to exist.

Krasinski, on the other hand, released his first video which has racked up nearly 13 million views to date and in one week he's already gotten over 1 million subscribers to his channel. It's an amazing effort to really bring good stories to the forefront and he's using his star power to push those stories even further.

The second episode of his show was just released and features the cast from the hit Broadway musical "Hamilton."

As the coronavirus seems to continue to grow more sizable every week, the world needs a fair dose of positivity and we need stories that we can believe in, stories that can lift us up as we make our way through an unprecedented moment in the world.
