No team can function without support, and the teams of Overwatch are no exception. The support heroes of Overwatch are the glue of the team. Regardless if you're offense, defense, or tank, you need some support because the enemy will show no mercy literally.

As their name suggests, support heroes specialize in helping their team, and it's expected that they don't give that much damage. Mastering these heroes require an entirely different mindset compared to the others because, for the first time, the attention is not on the enemy. It's on the team so they can perform their jobs.

Defense Heroes:

Ana

The master of alchemy and marksmanship. Ana is the definition of versatility. All of her biotic weapons are designed to help her team as well as damage the enemy when necessary.

Like Hanzo and Widowmaker, Ana is the final member of the sniper class making her a difficult yet rewarding hero to use. Add her support element, and Ana can make the difference in the fight.

What's also interesting about Ana is that she only has one eye! She took a shot to the eye from none other than Widowmaker. Despite self-doubt, injury, and now age, Ana made a comeback to join the fight once again. She is the definition of a comeback. No matter the circumstances, persistence is everything in life. If you have persistence, you can accomplish anything.

Lucio

When it's time to party, let Lucio DJ. Lucio brings music to the fight, and depending on what song is playing, his teammates get a boost whether it's healing or speed. Then when the enemy tries to turn down the volume, he can launch them right back and turn up the volume.

Lucio is a favorite support hero especially with his powerful ability to grant temporary massive shields to his team.

Positive change. That's what Lucio is a symbol of. He's a talented musician which brings everyone together.

No matter what your passions are, they can be used to make an amazing difference in the world. Lucio's music makes a difference in both the world and on the battlefield. Whatever your interests are, keep at them.

Mercy

Every team's guardian angel. Mercy is the goddess of healing. Her caduceus staff and valkyrie suit allow her to bring immediate support to her teammates on the ground and in the air.

Even when they're down, Mercy revives them. She is what keeps her team in the fight making her a prime target for her enemies. Therefore, Mercy must be well-protected at all times in order for her to help her team.

The classic Spiderman quote, "Where great power comes great responsibility.", is what everyone should remember. Despite her lack of damage potential, Mercy is actually one of the most powerful heroes in Overwatch if not the most powerful hero. Everyone is given power when given life. What will you do with such responsibility?

Symmetra

Symmetra brings the real potential of the future to the battle. Able to use her technology to construct tools for battle from light, she is a unique hero. Unlike the rest of the support heroes, Symmetra is not able to heal her teammates. Rather, her tools assist her team as well as herself. Symmetra takes her imagination to a whole other level making her a fascinating teammate as well as a dangerous enemy.

Like Winston said, "Imagination is the essence of discovery." Symmetra stresses the importance of using your imagination. The power of individual thought and personality can be a very versatile tool. Symmetra players need that kind of thinking in order to perform the duties of a support hero.

Zenyatta

They say that people who meet Zenyatta are never the same again. Zenyatta is a wise monk helping those in need whether it be in wisdom or in battle. His powerful orbs can do a variety of things whether it be damage, heal, or weaken.

The versatility of his orbs makes Zenyatta a dangerous enemy or useful teammate. When he reaches ultimate enlightenment, he can become invincible and heal his team. A combination makes Zenyatta a common hero used by many.

Zenyatta is a symbol of tranquility. The importance of mind over matter is what Zenyatta thrives in during stressful battles. That's the most appropriate way to handle the challenges of life with a calm mind. When you're calm, you're focused. When you're focused, you accomplish more.

And that covers all of Overwatch's heroes! A unique and balanced roster has attracted millions of players all over the world making Overwatch one of the most popular games ever made. Each hero has a special approach to tackling the many obstacles of life.

Their approaches remind us of an idea and/or lesson. They have mastered them, and if we do too, anything is possible.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
