31 Movies For The Ultimate 31 Nights Of 'Spook-Tober' Marathon

It's finally (almost) October my fellow Halloween lovers! We only have thirty-one days to be filled with all of the fright and horror we can imagine, without being shamed for being "overly in-love" with Halloween. Halloween is the one night a year anyone can dress and act however they please and have a day to blame it on! How could you not love Halloween?! Freeform's "31 Nights Of Halloween" always seems to fall a little short of what we hope for. Either there are too many repeats, or just not many movies that can't be played on public T.V. So if you find yourself asking for more quality movies this Halloween season here is the perfect list for you!

1. "Halloween" (1978)

I mean this marathon must be kicked off properly!

2. "Children Of The Corn" (1984)

Everyone still slightly fears this movie.

3. "The Conjuring" (2013)

These pocession movies really take a toll on suspence.

4. "A Quiet Place" (2018)

One movie where you're yelling at the actors "shut up" rather than the audience.

5. "Insidious" (2010)

Every parents worst nightmare.

6. "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974)

A perfect classic.

7. "Hocus Pocus" (1993)

Something to lighten the mood a little.

8. "Jeepers Creepers" (2001)

Who else is still scared to this day to drive down back roads?

9. "Orphan" (2009)

I feel like this is every adopting parents nightmare.

10. "Halloweentown" (1998)

Again, a little something to take the edge of the psychotic.

11. "The Shining" (1980)

"Come play with us."

12. "Annabelle" (2014)

Every person threw out every porcelain doll they owned.

13. "Friday The 13th" (2009)

Did you "Friday the 13th" was originally known to be a day of goodluck. Which is what made this movie such a hit.

14. "The Boy" (2016)

The plot twist on this movie left me shook for weeks!

15. "Carrie" (1976)

You have a date with "Carrie."

16. "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991)

"Hannibal the cannibal."

17. "Get Out" (2017)

This movie was so something else...

18. "Human Centipede" (2009)

So So SO twisted.

19. "Scream" (1996)

"There certain rules one must abide by."

20. "The Strangers" (2008)

And people wonder why I won't stay the night in abandoned towns.

21. "The Wicker Man" (1973)

The original is better than the remake.

22. "House Of Wax" (2005)

Those freaky fricken ghost towns!

23. "Don't Breathe" (2016)

The plot twist on this movie had me messed up for awhile.

24. "Child's Play" (1998)

Stupid dolls...

25. "The Cabin In The Woods" (2012)

Personally, was terrified to go camping for awhile after this.

26. "The Amityville Horror" (1979)

Luckily, we have so many websites now to tell us if places are haunted!

27. "The Blair Witch Project" (1999)

Had to throw at least one witch movie in here.

28. "Annabelle: Creation" (2017)

Dolls, dolls, and more darn dolls.

29. "The Woman in Black" (2012)

This movie was straight creepy and intense.

30. "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993)

After Halloween our only joy left in the year in Christmas.

31. "Halloween" (2007)

After all, it is Halloween.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
