10 End Of Semester Reactions Told By 'Friends' Characters

While Friends has been on air for 25 years, we can still find ways to relate our college struggles with our favorite characters.

10 End Of Semester Reactions Told By 'Friends' Characters

Tis' the season for forgotten due dates and giving assignments the ole' college before heading home for break. We are stressed, we are tired, we are hungry, just want to go home and our favorite "Friends" characters have the perfect reactions.

1. When your professor changes a project due date without updating the syllabus

Giphy

You've gone to every class and taken every note possible. But for some reason, your professor swears they told the class about a change in the syllabus.

2. Sitting through a class where your professor "teaches" by reading word for word from the powerpoint for the millionth time

Giphy

It is no surprise the professor is back at it again reading word for word off the Powerpoint slides with a million words on each slide. Did we expect something different? No, but we can still have hopes.

3. You finally get hit with the campus plague

Giphy

You've tried to avoid your campus's rapidly-spreading cold, but you were unsuccessful. Congratulations, you are now the kid in class who never stops coughing and sniffling.

4. Avoiding everything by getting coffee

Giphy

You can tell yourself all you want that you're going to actually sit down and study.. until someone suggests getting coffee. All bets are officially off.

5. Your professor says your final isn't cumulative, there will be a curve, and they are dropping your lowest quiz grade

Giphy

These types of professors are rare to find while in college, but believe there are still kind souls out there. Be thankful and don't do anything to risk the professor changing their mind.

6. When you see someone having their third breakdown in the library during finals week

Giphy

You are practically living in the library to study. Maybe, just maybe, you're on the "no talking" floor. But you see a lonely soul in the middle of their third breakdown. Just go ask if they're okay.

7. You haven't eaten, slept, studied, and you're running purely on high hopes and three coffees

Giphy

You're using all your strength to hold back the tears. You're not sure if they're because you're sleep deprived, hungry, or stressed to the max. But it is FINE. You're doing great!

8. Waiting until the night before to study for an exam

Giphy

Let's face it, if you don't know it while you're studying the night before, you probably won't remember it in six hours for the exam. Good luck, and do a full send.

9. "Sorry, you don't have anymore flex left."

Giphy

You've finally run out of flex dollars, and we all feel for you. Just hold out a little bit longer until you're home and maybe you'll find some money you forgot about!

10. Bye-bye school, hello home-cooked meals

Giphy

Not that you don't love waiting in line for sub-par pizza slices practically every day, but you are finally home and can snack and relax all you want. You finally finished the semester, and you don't have to see another textbook for a month. Enjoy it because you deserve it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
