5 Fall clothing tips that will make your life cozier

I put a little too much effort into my fall clothing which makes no sense because I live in Arizona. I have more fall clothing than summer clothing and all my friends make fun of me for that, but give me a break I just really like fall.

Anyway, here are some tips on how to stand out during fall but also keep the cozy effect going.

Oversized sweaters, but spice them up with accessories.

We all love a good oversized sweater. I personally own a couple and I throw them on when I absolutely don't feel like trying. However, my oversized sweater looks tend to be one of my favorites.

Here are a few ways you can spice them up:

1. If the sweater is simple, pair it with a uniquely patterned legging

3. Make sure to add some cute booties

4. If you truly don't feel like doing any of that, do your hair or some cute fall makeup.

Mix colors and patterns

When I think of fall, I think of a lot of patterns and colors. I usually get scared to do this but mixing colors and patterns are super cute and will make you stand out.

Whenever I mix a pattern, I try to find the one dominant color in the pattern and try my best to incorporate it throughout my outfit.

Accessorize everything

I can't stress enough how a good accessory can make an outfit go from a 5-10 and I do this all the time. Whether it's by wearing some cute boots, adding a belt, a cute scarf, or hairpins you should always take advantage of accessories. It helps the outfit look unique and it also helps you look more stylish with little effort.

If you love boots, experiment with some socks

This might sound weird, but socks are great way for fall outfits to get noticed. Whenever I wear boots or leggings, I try to pair it with some cute and fun socks. It helps gravitate the eye there and plus it's a good conversation starter.

When I think of fall, something that I always think about is denim. I love denim and every time I'm out shopping the first thing I find myself buying is something denim related. Whether its jeans or a jacket, I think anything denim will make the fall outfit stand out and it also adds a little bit of cozy. There's something very safe feeling about a nice thick denim jacket.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
