10 Reasons Going To Disney World In Your 20s Is Better Than Going As A Kid

In This Article:

Disney World is definitely a magical place where childhood truly never dies. It is great to go as a kid and watch your favorite movies and characters come to life, but dare I say, it's even better to go back to Disney World in your 20s.

Here are 10 reasons why going to Disney World in your 20s is better:

1. You can actually have an interaction with the characters.

Marissa Knox

At a young age, you don't really get to have memorable interactions with Disney characters. When you're older, you get to come up with some clever conversation material. Tell Mickey and Minnie that you absolutely MUST be matching for your photo op moment with them. At least that's what I did and I got to capture their incredibly cute reactions.

2. You have more energy.

Marissa Knox

You'd be surprised how much you're moving and grooving. From what my phone calculated, my boyfriend and I did 22,941 steps in one of our days at Disney... and that doesn't even include the steps we took when we went to the water park in the afternoon. Yeah, my feet were broken by the end of the night.

3. You ride more rides in half the wait time.

If you ever had a fairy godmother, it would be the Fast Pass+. You utilize that Fast Pass+ better than Mickey himself. You plan out your three fast passes for the day the night before going. Sometimes, even the early morning. Space Mountain was less than a five-minute wait with our fast pass. Unheard of, right?

4. You can participate in Drinking Around the World!

You can now participate in the boozy expedition of Drinking Around the World at Epcot! Try the many different drinks as you travel to the multiple countries. Even try the festive food!

5. You set the schedule.

Marissa Knox

You plan what you do and when you do it. Nothing is set in stone and everything is subject to change. This trip is the perfect balance of organized with room to go with the flow. You wanna go to Animal Kingdom in the morning and ride on the back of some Banshees and then go to a water park in the afternoon? We can do that! Maybe walk around Epcot that night if we are up to it. It's all up to you!

6. You can take THE best Insta-worthy photos.

Marissa Knox

If you're anything like me, you love documenting your experiences. You also can't contain your excitement and wake up at the crack of dawn to get to the park before it officially opens. Good thing for you is that you get to take pictures in front of the castle that are absolutely priceless.

7. You can go to ALL of the parks.

Granted, I purchased the Park Hopper Plus option for my tickets, and it was so worth it. I loved going from one park to another and then heading to a water park when the heat became too unbearable. Why limit magic to just one park when you can go to all of them? 10/10 would recommend this ticket option.

8. You can get the inside scoop.

Marissa Knox

I got the chance to meet up with some of my college friends who know Disney World like the back of their hand. They were our tour guides for the day and helped us fight off yetis in the middle of a snow storm.

9. Drinks in general.

Hopefully, you are now legal. If so, you can find alcohol at any of the parks. What's really nice is going to one of the water parks and indulging in alcoholic drinks while going for a dip. It truly is a treat. Talk about relaxation nation.

10. You go when Disney isn't packed.

Marissa Knox

Going to Disney World in August and on a week day was probably the smartest move to make. The parks weren't packed with people because of the time and the weather. In your 20's, you can handle the heat and the time.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
