Have you ever been sitting in Starbucks and wondered if a type of drink holds a certain meaning? As a coffee-lover, I have. We all have our own set drinks we order every time, but maybe we order them because of what our college major requires of us.
1. Business major - Espresso
Business majors are always on-the-go, jumping from coding classes to statistics with very little sleep in the mix. Because of this, they only have time for the quick and easy espresso shot so they don't fall asleep in between classes and interviews.
2. Education major - Latte
These majors are comforting and reliable, just like a good ol' latte. You can never go wrong with it and can expect to see these people ordering them at coffee stands. They are thinking critically about the education system's future and need this boost to keep them going strong.
3. Communications major - Black coffee
Communication majors have so many fields they could go into: Journalism, human resources, public relations, etc. Because of this, they need a classic coffee drink to help them get to a steady coffee buzz so they can stay awake and explore all of the possibilities this major has to offer.
4. Architecture major - Cortado
The architecture majors have to think creatively and maturely about their work. They desperately need this sophisticated coffee drink to keep them going through their late nights in the studio creating and working hard.
5. Art major - Coffee shop special
Any art major relies on creativity and passion to complete their work. They are able to recognize the creativity that goes into creating something like a coffee special and are not afraid to stray from their normal drink to try it.
6. Health major - Tea
Health majors are doing a crazy amount of work, but they opt for tea to feel healthier about their need for caffeine. It is soothing and can still be caffeinated, so it does the trick for them.
Coffee says more than you think, and it's no surprise that perhaps certain drinks could coincide with what we are studying on campus.
