One of the best things about the start of fall is the fact that grocery store shelves begin to overflow with foods bursting with fall flavor; from apple to maple, I love it all. But my favorite of all of these is definitely pumpkin; if you make a food pumpkin spice flavored, I am 200% more likely to buy it. Next time you're walking the aisles of Price Chopper, keep an eye out for these everyday food staples made better by the addition of pumpkin spice.

1. Pumpkin Cheerios

Take your breakfast (or midnight snack) to the next level with a cereal perfect for those crisp fall mornings.

2. Ben & Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream

Ben & Jerry's makes the best ice cream around; it's not unusual for me to consume a whole pint of Half Baked in one sitting. Their pumpkin cheesecake ice cream is one of the best pumpkin ice creams on the market.

3. Halo top Pumpkin pie ice cream

If you're looking for a more health-conscious choice of ice creams, pick up Halo Top's pumpkin pie ice cream. Eating the whole pint is only 360 calories and contains 20 grams of protein (and they even make a dairy free version!).

4. Starbucks pumpkin spice latte

Is it really fall until you've had a pumpkin spice latte? Rather than making the trip all the way to Starbucks, pick up a bottle from your grocery store's fridge to enjoy this classic fall drink at any time (and for half the price).

5. Pumpkin pie Kit Kats

With Halloween coming up, we're all craving chocolate more than ever. Combine the two best things about October (pumpkin and chocolate) with this delicious candy bar.

6. Chobani pumpkin spice greek yogurt

Try making your next yogurt parfait with pumpkin greek yogurt!

7. Pumpkin pie Pop-tarts

I've always found the basic pop-tart flavors like strawberry and cinnamon a little underwhelming. But when pop-tarts incorporate pumpkin pie into their lineup, you can be sure I'm adding them to my shopping cart.

Eating any of these delicious pumpkin flavored foods is sure to get you in the fall spirit. If you're anything like me, you'll wish they were around all year!

Cape Cod Irish

When I was a child, I used to look forward to Memorial Day Weekend from the time I returned to school after Christmas vacation. It was the yearly benchmark announcing the end of the school year and the beginning of summer vacation. It meant I was one step closer to regattas, swim meets and tennis matches.

I remember how exciting summer was when I was a kid. I would just be eagerly waiting for school to end so that I could fly to some exotic location with my family for the summer. Or hang out with my friends every day. Or just lay around in bed or read, paint, draw, basically do whatever.
