Lorem is a genre of music that utilizes the imperfections in the music recording process and plays off of the effect they give. it Is sorta like a mix between Lofi and bedroom pop. This music tends to be very relaxing and overall really easy to vibe to.
1. "IDK You Yet" by Alexander 23
The concept of this song is actually pretty original. it's all based on that longing feeling that you get for a person you haven't even met. When you know someone is missing from your life, but you can't exactly do anything about it. This song is very relaxed in the sense it is not overproduced, and I definitely feel that helps with the vulnerability of the song.
2. "Window" by Still Woozy
This song is a very good representation of the heavy production side of lorem. The instrumental and plug in effects on the vocals is really propionate in a lot of Woozy's music. The layering of the instruments and the vocals mixed with the variety of production techniques really touches base on all the different parts of this fun genre.
3. "Butterflies" by Thomas Headon
"Butterflies" is a really light and easy listening song. The vocals aren't crazy auto tuned, and that allows for more electronically altered interments to shine through. The lyrics are pretty simple so they definitely don't make you think too hard when listening. Overall, this song is cute, but still has a really strong presence as a whole.
3. "Sunkissed" by Khai Dreams
Acoustic sounds are very prominent in this song along with an array of other airy sounds. This combined with the loving lyrics creates an overall warm and happy vibe. Khai's voice is really pure and just adds a different flair to his music.
5. "When You Call" by Spill Tab
The production of this song is distinctly different to the others songs I've talked about. The songs starts with little production on the vocals and background interments, then quickly transitions into heavy vocal production accompanied by choppy lyrics and more apparent instrumental sounds and effects. An experimental feeling comes from this song and I think that's why I enjoy it so much.
6. "Just Like A Bird" by Imfinenow ft. Solace
Right off the bat, the vocals are heavily produced. The gradual build-up of background sounds if very important to the reason this song sounds too unique and fascinating. The lyrics aren't the spot light, but still play an important role in the song as a whole.
