As I lay in my bed, cursing the world and shuddering as I write this article, all I can think about is the times I took being healthy for granted. Here are the 6 stages of having the flu, as told by a college student.
1. The Warning Signs
Scratchy throat? Runny nose? Headache? Ah, probably just need some more sleep or something.
2. Waking Up With a Fever
Humph. Well I wasn't expecting this. Must just be a a bug or something. Just gotta take some Advil and rally.
3. Waking Up the Next Day and Everything Hits You
Well. This sucks.
4. Wondering Why You Didn't Get a Flu Shot
Damn it. I avoided getting a flu shot because it would 'hurt.' Well dumbass, this hurts more.
5. Suffering From Major Body Aches, Chills, Dizziness, Etc.
At this point you're basically on your death bed.
6. Downing As Much Medicine As You Can
Even though nothing seems to be helping
7. Finally waking Up Feeling A Little Bit Normal
The best feeling will be getting over this.
8. Cleaning Everything and Never Touching Anyone Again
Must. Deep clean. Everything.
