HGTV’s “Tiny House Hunters” has brought to light the growing trend of tiny houses. Although Tiny Houses may seem unconventional to some, others can find their best lifestyle within five-hundred square feet and less. Are you meant to live in a tiny house? Here are six signs that the tiny house lifestyle might be right for you.

1. You’re frugal.

You don’t want to worry about buying a lot of furniture, paying for a lot of land, or high bills to heat your home; tiny houses can solve all of these problems. Within a tiny house, there is less space to heat, less room to furnish, and you can choose to have little land to plant your house on. You could even build your own!

2. You enjoy traveling.

The sound of a permanent residence scares you because you feel like you’ll lose out on visiting the Grand Canyon. Having a home on wheels would be cool because you could just drag your house along with you on your adventures. You wouldn’t need to cut the grass, deal with neighbors, or have any long-term commitments to anywhere.

3. You're introverted.

Introverts tend to be people who prefer to be alone more often than with a group of people. With a tiny house, you can’t really fit that many people in there comfortably, meaning you wouldn’t have to deal with as many people often. You can minimize the social world and maximize your me-time.

4. You don’t like to cook.

Because tiny houses are so tiny, kitchens are limited. If you don't like to cook, you won’t even care that the cooktop is a plugin and a mini fridge is all you have for the cold stuff.

5. You’re a minimalist.

You don’t mind wearing the same clothes everyday, surviving off of one pair of black leggings and a pair of blue jeans. You think an abundance is actually a waste, and less is more. For you, shopping is fun, but you may have buyer’s remorse when you start to feel like a hoarder. You’d rather limit yourself by living simply than having everything.

6. You desire less stress.

Being in a tiny house can give people the feeling of freedom. In a tiny house, cleaning, organizing, and living becomes something easy. It’s almost like you’re in your own little world.

With higher taxes and costs for living, it’s no surprise people are choosing tiny houses over typical homes. If you’re willing to cut back the tangibles, in exchange for more intangible experiences, a tiny house might be perfect for you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
