The 5 Stages Of Grief When your Phone Dies

All based on a very true story... RIP Phone

So... This happened to me over the weekend. I didn't drop it, it fell out of my pocket because they were way too small (I should write an article about that and other unfair things...). It ended up dying.

Luckily, I was able to get a new one, so all ended well. However, it didn't stop me from going through all this:

Denial

WHAAAAAT! IS THAT A CRACK?!?! It has fallen maybe once or twice, and it's fine, and this time, the screen cracks? Oh well. That happens to people all the time. My brother's old phone had a cracked screen and it still worked... Everything is fine.

Anger

WHY IS THE TOP OF THE SCREEN NOT WORKING?! There are two whole rows of apps that I can't use! And what if I need to make a call? Did that break?! UGHH!!!! I do my best to keep my gadgets alive and now this happens? WHYYYY!!!!!

Bargaining

So, I suppose I have to get in contact with the parentals... They'll hopefully be fine, since I'm not the one who's constantly breaking stuff, plus I'm doing well ins school. Even if they do freak out, they will in another state. We have insurance, I get a new one, yay! It won't come until Tuesday, boo. Maybe I should have kept my hand in my pocket, or put it in my coat pocket? Or perhaps I should have brought an actual alarm clock after spring break...

Depression

It's turning purple... According to Google, it's because of the crack... I can barely see anything, and the top doesn't work... Time to factory reset it while I can still see... RIP. No clock to check, have to ask other people and use my laptop as an alarm. No checking emails on the go, having to find other ways to entertain myself during eating time (I eat alone, it's not rude), and tell parents to use messenger for the time being since the phone's violetness is a sign of death. Tuesday seems so far away...

Acceptance

It's going to be okay. Remember that time your old Droid Razor died last year? You made it through that. (Of course, you had a clock then...) But... It has to be done. Though the classes seem long, and free time longer, patience is key. Tuesday will be here. For once the professors talking for a longer will not be inconvenient, but it will just kill time... Just — *GASP* An email from mail services! It's here!

Now, where did I put those paper clips...

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
