ah, dying hair. It is contreversial. Boomers will tell you that it is not professional and you will never get a job with pink hair. Your parents will tell you that the green will fade to a really bad yellow. Friends will tell you that they do not think that color will look good on you. I will not do that. I am here to tell you that you SHOULD dye your hair. A rite of passage for many teenage girls, dying hair is fun. After all, nothing is permanent.
1. It will differentiate you!
Have you wished you could just stand out a little bit more? Dying your hair is a great way to do that! People will know you as the girl with colored hair. You become noticeable and it is a great conversation starter. A good example would be that at my college dorm hall, there are about four different people with my name. My pink hair differentiates me from the others and gave me the nickname "maddie with the pink hair".
2. It will add a pop of color into your life
My fashion style tends to lack a bit and is filled with many earth tones. Dying your hair will give you the pop of color you need on a dark day. Especially when dying your hair and very vibrant color. Colored hair also looks great if you like to dress in black or white. It is the perfect final touch.
3. It's a fun activity to do with your friends.
Getting together with your best friend and dyeing hair is one of the best experiences. You both get laughs and get to see the final product at the end. I know everytime I dye my hair with a friend it is one of the best nights of my life. It is also crazy fun to dye hair. It is a mess, but one of those things that bonds people together.
