5 Binge-Worthy Netflix Shows

A.K.A. the five shows I've seen too many times.

Many people will tell you that they watch too much Netflix. I am one of those people. While I know I should be doing other (more important) things, like focusing on school or reading or doing outdoor activities (yeah, right), I can’t help but binge watch T.V. instead. Usually after I finish a show, I ask around for other recommendations from friends, but while they come up with interesting, potentially entertaining options, I find myself drawn back to the same five shows. It’s like a vicious cycle. I start and finish one show (again), then move on to the next one and the next one and so on until I'm right back at the beginning.

If you’re looking for a fun and easy show to watch, then this is the list for you. These shows all run about twenty minutes each episode, which makes them super easy to binge watch (trust me, I'm a professional).

Five shows I can’t stop binge watching:

1. The Office. This show is hilarious in all its entirety. From the legendary Pam/Jim relationship to the memorable pranks pulled on Dwight Schrute, The Office is cherished by many people. And who doesn't love funny, not always so bright Michael Scott?

2. Friends. Who can't relate to at least one of the characters on Friends, if not to all of them in some way? This show makes it almost impossible to pick a favorite character because you can't help but love them all (except for Ross. Nobody likes Ross).

3. How I Met Your Mother.HIMYM is, and probably always will be, my favorite sitcom. This show was genius in the way that it connected events from the first season to events in the last season. The writers obviously thought long and hard about each little detail that went into this show (except for the entire last episode. Just pretend it doesn't exist).

4. Scrubs. Scrubs contains one of the greatest "bromances" of all time. J.D. and Turk are hilarious from the start of the show to the end, and who can forget the touching finale of Season 8? This is one show I'll never stop rewatching.

5. Parks and Recreation. Just as it is with The Office, Parks and Recreation is another show that is funny all the way through. I love watching as the characters develop throughout the season and become people we grow to love and care about. This is one show I definitely will watch more than a few times.

Maybe one day I'll stop watching so much Netflix and do something with my life (probably not), but until then, I will rewatch these shows over and over again until I can quote them in my sleep. Of course, I'm always open to show recommendations, just know that it may be awhile before I get to them (like five shows later).

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
