Being a girl sucks at times. You hardly get taken seriously, hate is almost expected, and you’re born into a competition between other girls that shouldn’t even be a thing in the first place. I decided to list some of the most annoying moments that I think every girl has had the unfortunate chance of experiencing. I’m sure there are MANY more I forgot to include, but here’s a few annoying WTF moments every girl has experienced.

1. Going to class or work without make-up on and hearing “oh, you look really tired today.”

2. Eating healthy all month, only to ruin all your progress with period cravings.

3. Never finding the perfect pair of jeans or shorts, because they fit either your waist or your butt, never both.

4. Finding ripped holes in a pair of lace underwear.

5. When your eyeliner on one eye looks bomb AF but the other eye looks like it works two jobs just to pay the bills.

6. Dropping a makeup palate.

7. Finding lipstick on your teeth.

8. Or getting mascara on your nose.

9. Walking down the streets in the city and bracing yourself for all the awkward, unsolicited comments you’ll hear.

10. Digging through your purse for something and finding wrappers, old tissues, gum, receipts, and every other possible junk in there.

11. Ruining a nice pair of underwear because your period decided to surprise you early.

You weren't supposed to be here for another week!?

12. Or ruining a nice pair of underwear after your period is over, because apparently, it wasn’t done just yet.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

13. Running out of pads or tampons in public and having to awkwardly text a friend to bring you one or praying you have a quarter for the machine.

You’re either trapped in a bathroom stall, waiting for your friend, or shaking the crappy dispenser that just ate your only quarter.

14. Ripping a hole in your stockings while putting them on.

15. Wearing heels one size too big or too small and dealing with no circulation in your toes or chaffing on your ankles.

16. Your bra's underwire coming out and stabbing you.

Especially if it was your favorite bra. *cries*

17. Paying a ridiculous amount of money every month for pads, tampons, liners, etc.

Your period really hitting you in your uterus AND your wallet.

18. Mansplaining.

I probably understand this topic better than you do, but go ahead, tell me EXACTLY how it should be done. I’ll just wait patiently before pointing out all the flaws you just made.

19. Guys never taking you seriously if you love *insert something typically male and therefore only for men to enjoy*

Yeah I like sports. No that doesn’t give you the right to quiz me.

20. Never knowing your true clothing size because every store has different size measurements.

You’re small in one store but extra large in another. Um, what?

21. Being called psycho, aggressive, bossy, etc. for just doing your job as a leader.

But if you’re too soft, people walk all over you…? You can’t win.

22. Unsolicited dick pics.

Sorry guys, but no, please, just no. If she doesn't ask for one, she doesn't want one. Simple as that.

23. Having unbearable cramps but still being expected to show up to class or work.

Don’t mind me, just dying over here.

24. When you're PMSing and everything makes you either cry or want to murder someone.

Mostly the latter.

25. Men always telling you to smile, as if you're not allowed to be upset.

I just woke up late, ran to class, spilled coffee on myself, and forgot my assignment at home. Don’t tell me how to feel.

26. Having RBF.

I don’t hate you. It’s just my face.

27. Being scared to give birth someday.

I know, I know, the miracle of birth and all, but it looks. so. painful.

Yeah, being a girl has its unfortunate moments, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
