Ah, the jersey shore. If you say you didn’t love it there’s no way you’re telling the truth. This show was the definition of everyone’s high school obsession and was one of the most entertaining things to come out of MTV. We may not have registered all the very valuable lessons that came out of this show when we were 16, but as finals week rolls along and all my housemates and I have started to re-watch the iconic show, I’m finding the life lessons of this show more and more relatable. Here are 257 things we all forgot we learned from the Jersey Shore cast.

3. Always give your all on the dance floor

4. It’s okay to not be the brightest crayon box

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots.
