I think we all can agree that 2016 has been a year filled with the craziest ups and downs. For me personally, it has been a year filled with growth and new experiences. As always the end of the year seems to go by the fastest. I'd just like to take this opportunity to reflect on the 26 things that I've learned this year.

.) Things always seem to work out in the end.

.) Stressing about things doesn't help anything.

.) You can never have too many people who care about you.

.) Letting go of negative people is sometimes for the best.

.) You can never have too many comfy blankets.

.) Politics can bring out the worst in a person.

.) Politics are not worth losing friends over.

.) I'm capable of much more than I have ever thought.

.) Family is the most important thing in my life (I already knew this but it's still true)

.) You don't have to prove yourself to anyone but yourself.

.) To-do lists are my best friend.

.) Three coffees in one day is sometimes needed.

.) Majoring in social work is the best choice I've ever made.

.) Time goes by so so so so so fast.

.) Opening up to people is a risk I'm willing to take.

.) Text message context is sometimes really hard to understand.

.) Doing things alone is okay.

.) Hurt or angry people say things they don't mean.

.) It's easiest to lie to yourself.

.) Sometimes things just take time.

.) Patience is key.

.) It's more than okay to change your mind.

.) It's also okay to not know what you want.

.) Sometimes you can meet a really great guy on tinder.

.) People who hate country music are sad individuals.

.) I've had a really great year and I can't wait to see what 2017 has in store!!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
