16 Inevitable Struggles Of A Second Semester College Senior That Are 100 Percent Unavoidable

So, maybe you've heard about the second-semester high school senior, and everything on their mind. Ah, to be young. Trust me kid, you're going to be just fine.

Us second semster college seniors on the verge of the real world on the other hand? We've been in school for our entire lives and, let's face it, that's quite a long time.

If you're anything like me, the struggle of being a second-semester senior is #soreal as winter break comes to a sad and dreadful end.

If you're a second-semester college senior, here are some thoughts and struggles you're more than likely experiencing at the moment:

1. The thought of doing even a small assignment has you feeling utterly exhausted.

2. You're convinced there should be time allotted for Netflix and Chill.

3. ....and snacks! Don't forget snacks! Snacks take time, too.

4. The gym? What? LOL.

5.You realize you're getting old because going out twice a week seriously kills you.

6. You remember when you were a freshman and literally never turned down the invite to "turn up."

7. Somehow, you've signed your life away to your internship in hopes of getting a real-life adult job.

8. And then you wonder how you've managed to trick most people into thinking you're actually mature enough to work a 9-5 job.

9. You look around in the Gen-Ed you've been putting off and realize that everyone was born in 1998 and you're practically a senior citizen at this point.

10. You constantly differ from wanting to maintain your great GPA and just graduate already.

11. You've come to learn that drinking wine and watching movies is quite possibly one of life's most beautiful gifts.

12. You're not sure if it's socially acceptable to tell other people you had Taco Bell for dinner...again.

13. You've basically mastered wearing leggings and no makeup 5 out of 7 days a week.

14. You convince yourself it's a good life choice due to the fact you'll no longer be able to do so come graduation.

15. While you #cantwait to graduate, you're a little bitter about leaving college and seeing all your friends in one place every day.

16. You're so glad you had the best years of your life at your university.

Maybe four more years wouldn't be the worst thing after all...

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
