13 Thoughts Every Girl Has Before Their First Cup Of Coffee
Hally Acuña

College is a rough place filled with either very happy or super abrasive people, and neither types can be handled without starting your day with a cup of coffee. But before you have that glorious cup of heaven, you are this monster that lives with a permanent scowl on your face and bad attitude; you are this lazy slob that needs your fix before anything will get done. Do you recognize yourself?

1. "I'm just going to go back to bed."

*Hits snooze button 48 times.*

2. "I can't skip this class again...can I?"

"How many absences do I get for this class? Oh yeah, I've already used them all."

3. "This is real. I have to get up."

"Okay, if you just through the day till 5 p.m., you can go to bed early."

4. "Ef, makeup - I don't care what I look like right now."

"This is college. No one cares that I don't have makeup on."

5. "This is a comfy clothes day."

"Okay, every day is comfy clothes day.

6. "Okay, I should have checked the weather."

"It's 53 degrees, and I'm in shorts - I'm an idiot."

7. "Why is everyone SO SLOW?!"

"This is not real."

8. "WALK FASTER."

9. "Seriously? Do I look like someone that wants to take your flyer?"

"Look at my face, and rethink your choices."

10. "Please stop talking to me."

"Again, look at me."

11. "This line would be a thousand years long."

"I'm pretty sure I need this coffee more than anyone else."

12. "I just want a cup of coffee. It should not take this long."

"9 a.m. is too early to starting trying new things - get your regular, and hurry up!"

13. "Thank you, God. I really needed this."

"Now I just need five more cups."

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer. And if you haven't already guessed, it's beer. There are few things I take more seriously than my beer, in order are: sports... and beer. Here are my favorite summer brews:

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

5684
Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.

You cannot beat the beach. Believe it or not (which many people may not), New England has a long and beautiful coastline. Most of my high school summers were spent sitting on the Wall at Hampton Beach, getting sunburnt and eating Acai bowls from The Secret Spot. The Wall was the place to be both during the day and at night. We begin our days there with a KB's bagel and coffee, and end them with pizza and ice cream. It’s not a New England summer without that 4 p.m. text from someone, “Who wants to meet at the Wall tonight?” Nighttime is for Tripoli’s Pizza, the sound of waves, and wishes on shooting stars. Wednesday nights are especially important, as those are the nights that Hampton Beach sets off the weekly firework display.
