12 Of The Best Feelings in the World

You can't put your finger on it, but you know these are the best.

1. Setting your alarm clock for a specific time, but somehow managing to wake up before it goes off and you're already halfway through getting ready when it starts making all this unnecessary noise.

2. Regardless of what religion you follow, but as a Muslim, sitting on the prayer mat after prayer. It's not only one of the best feelings, but also most peaceful and humbling experience. The simplicity about it makes that moment so special.

3. here is no way in hell a person can manage to have a "good makeup" day every single day, almost impossible I would say. Having a single good makeup day when your skin isn't oily nor is it dry, your lipstick/gloss stays on, and you don't have to re apply anything....talking about it is just making me so emotional. Stay strong, stay strong.

4. When you KNOW you did not study for a test or your petty ass did bullshit ALL the questions on the homework, but with some miracle you managed to get an A or even a B.

5. This has to be my favorite one, but for sure hearing a song on the radio and trying to remember the few words you heard and then later on while searching for this song you actually find it...AND it's on Spotify. I will cry.

6. Officially being able to say and not "give a shit," has to maybe be the greatest feeling in the world. There is a huge difference between saying you don't care and actually genuinely not caring, and honestly, even though it seems hard not knowing if you can tell the difference, trust me, you will be able to when the time comes.

7. Just knowing you and your best friends truly care for one another. This does not mean literally telling your friends how much they mean to you, but actually the opposite I would say. It could be as simple as you guys dropping by each other's house randomly, seeing a cute book or a lipstick that would look bomb on them and getting it just because. Caring in the sense of literally remembering them in random things, caring as in having memories. It's these simple easy going friendships which will work out in the long run, honestly.

8. When you think you are broke as hell, but come across a $5 in your jacket pocket and yes, even $5 is something.....go to Taco Bell and get 3 chipotle ranch chicken loaded grillers or donate it. Your call.

9. When people remember something specific about you, whether it is something you enjoy, dislike, or a random habit you have. It is such a great feeling when you share a story with someone and one day they bring it up.

10. For sure saying you have no type of gas in your car, but you start the car and behold, a full tank? Someone came through and really did you this solid? I mean they probably needed your car and realized you are a useless and lazy human who refuses to put in gas and of course once again, had to do this themselves. Thanks ma!

11. When your friends cover for you. Before you can even say "I'm broke" or pull out your card, your friend has already swiped their debit card. These are the friends who need to be valued and appreciated in life.

12. Last but not least, the most cliche of them all, having a good day. This could mean the weather was good according to you, you aced your exam, you finally heard a new song on the radio instead of them constantly playing Closer, or you just feel good. You feel happy, you feel okay for a little while. It's the best feeling hands down.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
