10 Struggles Of Life When You Are Bad At Makeup

Every woman goes through awkward stages of trial and error with makeup- remember when you used your mom’s makeup as a little kid, or better yet middle school? *Shudder* We all went through it, and for those of us still trying to figure out how the hell to use the right brush or just trying to master mascara- you are not alone, the struggle is real.

1. When attempting to use bronzer you just wind up looking like a member of the "Jersey Shore" cast or an Oompa Loompa.

“Cabs are here!”

2. You “try” to attempt a winged cat’s eye and over-correct till you look like an emo teen circa 2005

“Hello and welcome to Hot Topic”

3. You just do not understand contouring, and God help you if you attempt it.

That’s a lot of no.

4. When using mascara, you constantly develop clumpy, spidery lashes instead of the gorgeous ones in the commercial…

I tried, it’s in my eye and it burns--why?

5. No foundation ever seems to match or blend effectively.

You know what? I wanted foundation lines, that’s totally what I was going for.

6. Forget fake lashes.

How do I--? Never mind, just glued my eye shut.

7. Lip color is always too dark, too pale, or makes your teeth look yellow.

Wanted Angelina Jolie, wound up with Big Ang instead

8. You secretly hate all your friends who actually look decent every day.

Like just how? Teach me your ways.

9. Makeup tutorials never turn out right, EVER.

Nailed it, totally nailed it.

10. Penciling of eyebrows is forbidden.

Look, Brooke Shield’s eyebrows only look good on one person: Brooke Shields.

And if you haven't already guessed, it's beer. There are few things I take more seriously than my beer, in order are: sports... and beer. Here are my favorite summer brews:

Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

19873
bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

3060
Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.
