I signed up for NaNoWriMo this November, where writers across the world strive for a goal of writing 50,000 words in one month. I signed up so that I could proudly say I'd written a novel, and it has been a whirlwind.

Excitement to just write

Oh my gosh, look at all the words I wrote today! This is going to be a piece of cake.

Falling in love with your characters

These characters are so perfect!

Being social

"Hey, person walking by, did I tell you what my novel's about?"

Nervousness

Will I have enough words?

Full-on panic

I literally have no plot and I'm 4,000 words in already.

Snacking

Maybe I just need some energy for a good idea to strike...

...We go back to being social...

"Hey, excuse me random stranger, what would you do in this highly specific situation?"

Confusion

Y'all, I got 50 pages of words and I can't find the spot I need to work on.

...And, back to being social (why are there so many people?)

"No, really, I don't think you're going to want to read this. It's pretty bad."

Exhaustion

December 1st, involved taking a long nap.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.
