Grab some popcorn, charge up your laptop, and ignore all academic obligations. Here are the latest happenings on everyones favorite binge watching site.
Netflix announced the new shows and movies that will soon be available for streaming for the month of September, and it’s pretty jam-packed with awesomeness. It’s a little overwhelming, and the entire list of the new additions can be found online, but here are the ones to truly be excited about.
The passing away of Robin Williams left a sad nostalgia and desire to watch some of his classic movies. Hook and Jumanji are already on Netflix, but now you can also now check out Good Morning Vietnam, which features one of his best roles as a wartime DJ. Have your stack of tissues ready for O Captain, My Captain.
You can also check out some new shows that just wrapped up their first seasons last spring, and catch up to the new season later this fall. For instance, The Black List and About A Boy will have both of their first seasons uploaded on Netflix soon.
Other shows that just ended, or will be ending soon, include the final season of How I Met Your Mother -- the ultimate binge-watching show -- and the
newest season of Parks & Recreation, which
will be ending this fall.
The list is also bringing in
awesome independent and award winning movies. If you missed Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscar winning performance in Silver Linings Playbook, you will be
able to stream it starting Sept. 16. Coming out the same day, Beginners
features Christopher Plummer’s Oscar-winning best supporting actor role in a coming of age
film.
Don’t say you weren’t
warned!
