Fall TV Face-Off

Pumpkin spice lattes, leggings and Halloween decorations have all made their returns.  Now, it’s time for all of our favorite TV shows to come back, too!

We no longer have to wait to find out what happened with Olivia Pope on Scandal. Last season's cliffhanger kept everyone wondering for months. We’ll finally find out what exactly happened after Olivia flew off into the sunset with Captain Jake Ballard. Will she come back for Fitz? Will he ever put the pieces together about the death of his son? The only thing for certain is that show creator, Shonda Rhimes, is a genius.

Shonda Rhimes, who also created Grey’s Anatomy, has a new show premiering this fall, entitled How To Get Away With Murder, starring Viola Davis. According to IMDb, this show is about a group of ambitious law students, and their mysterious criminal defense professor, who all become entangled in a murder plot. Sounds spooky good.

The Voice is slated to return on Sept. 22 with brand new judges, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. The new season promises to have even more funny hijinks than previous seasons. Sounds about right, as I’m sure Blake and Adam will soon have to adopt their own Pharrell Hats.

Superheroes will be making more of an impact on pop culture, with Gotham and The Flash coming to the small screen. Gotham details the city before Batman, through the eyes of Detective James Gordon. This series looks awesome, but will it conflict with new Batman movie premiering next year with Ben Affleck as the lead? The Flash is about the adventures of scientist, Barry Allen, and since this new show is on the CW, all of the actors will be inexplicably good looking.

In recent years, the quality of television has grown incredibly, and every one of these shows is something to be excited about.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
