11 Reasons Why Winter Is The Greatest Season

Since I was a little kid, winter was always my favorite season. Unfortunately, I've always been in the minority in that regard, as most of my friends and family have always loved fall. Now, it's time to settle the debate once and for all. For all my winter lovers out there, this is why you're right!

1. It's the holiday season!

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or just the Winter Solstice, everyone has a reason to celebrate and be happy with the people they love and cherish.

2. Greater generosity

For a multitude of reasons, everyone seems to be way more generous and giving during the winter. It's an inspiring thing to see everyone show off their kindness; after all, no one wants to be a Scrooge!

3. It's cold!

If you're like me then you love the cold weather but live in Texas, a state where 8 out of the 12 months are spent sweating through your shirt. However, for a few glorious weeks, we get to revel in the cold weather!

4. Cute winter clothes!

During all the cold weather, you finally have an excuse to break out your long sleeves, sweaters, beanies, fuzzy socks, and mittens. It's the best possible aesthetic, and only comes around in winter!

5. Fire

There's something really cozy about a fire, whether its in a fireplace at home or a campfire outdoors, there's just a really nice feeling of having a warm beacon of flame during those cold winter months.

6. Snuggling under blankets

My personal favorite part of winter is being able to wrap myself like a burrito in every blanket I can find and still be the perfect temperature!

7. Cookies, candies, and sweets galore!

There are tons and tons of holiday cookie recipes out there for baking, and so many different holiday themed treats to buy if you're not the baking type. Either way, the sweets are here for the cold season!

8. Gift giving

Many people celebrate winter holidays by exchanging gifts with friends and family. While it will be a little more difficult this year from COVID, you'll still be able to show all those awesome people how much you care about them; what could possibly be better this season!

9. Snow

10. Finals are over!

If you're a student, you just finished the most stressful part of your semester and can finally take a breath. You made it through and succeeded, great job!

Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire.
