People always ask me when they hear I'm a theatre major/writing minor, "What are you going to do with that?" I always reply that I hope I can do theatre and write. The truth behind that is, I love stories. I love reading stories, I've been writing stories since I was little, and every year that I've worked at the Athens YMCA camp, I've told stories to the campers. To me, some of the greatest messages can be told through a story, whether its a fable, memoir, or opinion of pop culture. I think that theatre and writing are two different ways of storytelling and I want to pursue them. When I heard about The Odyssey, I saw it as another outlet for storytelling and became very interested.
