The First Two Days of the Semester, As Told By Michael Scott

The first week back to college is a whirlwind of emotions and experiences, so check out the twenty things that are bound to happen if you go to TCNJ.

1. Seeing all of your friends after a LONG summer Break

2. Going out with your friends the first night like old times

3. Drinking too much the first night and instantly regretting your decision

4. Realizing you have to get your shit together for the first day of class

5. So you try to go to the bookstore and get your books that you need, but then you see the long line and you are like

6. Then, you go to Canvas and try to see if your professors have put any syllabi up (but they haven't)

7. Since you can't be productive, you decide to go out AGAIN #dage

8. And again, you regret your decision to go out

9. You walk into your first class and see that boy that you don't talk to anymore

10. Your professor shows up and FINALLY hands out the syllabus

11. The professor starts teaching ON THE FIRST DAY

12. Class is over!!!

13. Going from class to the library and seeing all the excited freshman walking around

14. Okay, library time. Let's try to understand today's class

15. Spending 5 minutes and giving up hope for the rest of the semester

16. Hearing about the Club Fair and getting all of the free stuff clubs give out, so you don't have to do school work

17. Rolling up to the library again after procastinating for 5 hours

18. Looking at Canvas and seeing that ALL of your syllabi are up!?!

19. You immediately begin stressing out, as you wonder how you are gonna get through the semester

20. However, you realize that all of your friends are on the same boat, so you know that it will be a good semester as long as they got your back

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.

You cannot beat the beach. Believe it or not (which many people may not), New England has a long and beautiful coastline. Most of my high school summers were spent sitting on the Wall at Hampton Beach, getting sunburnt and eating Acai bowls from The Secret Spot. The Wall was the place to be both during the day and at night. We begin our days there with a KB's bagel and coffee, and end them with pizza and ice cream. It’s not a New England summer without that 4 p.m. text from someone, “Who wants to meet at the Wall tonight?” Nighttime is for Tripoli’s Pizza, the sound of waves, and wishes on shooting stars. Wednesday nights are especially important, as those are the nights that Hampton Beach sets off the weekly firework display.
