1. Clothing
Freshman Year: New clothes have been bought and outfits laid out in preparation.
Sophomore Year: Sure maybe there's a cute first day of school outfit you have in mind, but after that, it's a t-shirt and shorts to the dining hall and class every day.
2. Dorm Life
Freshman Year: Every single door is wide open waiting for someone to come in and say "Hello."
Sophomore Year: I don't know anyone on my floor, except my roommates.
3. RAs
Freshman Year: They know everyone's names a couple of weeks in, they host getting to know you events weekly, and they're always around the floor if you need them. (Shout out to my amazing RAs last year!)
Sophomore Year: When you walk down the hall to the bathroom and the room with the loudest music and people is the RA's room.
4. Making Friends
Freshman Year: Everyone is scared and lost and just wants to find a group.
Sophomore Year: I already know who I like and who I don't.
5. Night Life
Freshman Year: LARGE clumps of students drunkenly walking around trying to find somewhere to party. (Please stop shouting in the streets, says the girl with a bedroom window on the busiest street in Syracuse.)
Sophomore Year: There's a plan, you know when to arrive and you know who you're going with; much more fun.
6. Sporting Events
Freshman Year: Arrive early for the first game of the season to get good seats.
Sophomore Year: Show up late since you know your football team isn't that great, and it's most likely going to be a huge blowout. Let's face it you're mainly there for pictures and hanging out with your friends.
7. Classes
Freshman Year: Schedule is a mess, taking a lot of credits and don't know where anything is located. Trying to impress the professor by raising your hand a lot. Just don't be the kid reminding them about the homework.
Sophomore Year: Classes don't start until the afternoon and you have a friend in almost every class. Only talk in the classes where you have to.
8. Activities Fair
Freshman Year: Sign up for everything.
Sophomore Year: Still trying to get off the email lists for things you signed up for at last year's activities fair.
9. Homework
Freshman Year: Still trying to decipher the syllabus while reading the entirety of every textbook you bought.
Sophomore Year: Know where and when to study and which books you actually need to read and which ones you just need to find the answers in for the online assignment.
10. Alone Time
Freshman Year: Trying to make friends, you don't even notice that you and your roommate live together, eat together, go to class together, etc.
Sophomore Year: Look at your friend's schedules to know when you can peacefully nap or watch Netflix with no one bothering you.
11. Showering
Freshman Year: Awkwardly carries anything and everything you might need, while you speed walk hoping no one sees you.
Sophomore Year: Casually grabs a shower caddy and walks down the hall in a towel cause who cares at this point.

1. Jess.
You're a little quirky, but your energy is contagious. Sometimes you burst out into little songs about the things you're doing, yourself, or the people around you. You're not afraid to put yourself out there when it comes to everything. You love kids, and while your actions may sometimes be a little disastrous, you put your heart into everything you do. At the end of the day, you're quirky, but 100% lovable.
2. Cece.
Sometimes you can come off as a little bit b*tchy, but you would go to the worlds end to make sure your friends are taken care of. While at times your looks may blind people from your intelligence, you are witty and quick to pick skills up. You're a complete badass and you never let your fears drive you away from pursuing your passions. You can sometimes be superficial but, once the right person comes along to break down your walls, you're one of the best friends anyone can have.
3. Nick.
Let's start with saying you may not completely have your life together. You take a path through life that is led by your gut, and while there are often bumps, you ride it out (not always gracefully), and tend to be an all around chill person. Once you love somebody, you go to great lengths to make sure they remain happy. When life seems a bit rough, or you're stuck in the middle of a disagreement, you tend to hideaway or awkwardly moonwalk away from your problems.
4. Schmidt.
While you often have your head in the clouds, you have a heart of gold. Yes, every once in a while you need your friends to put you back into place with something like a douchebag jar, but your quirks are totally worth it. You may not have been the coolest kid growing up and tend to overcompensate with the lavish things in life, you try to make sure everyone thinks your top dog. Every now and then, you have a bit of a meltdown that leads to you full on screaming, but it tends to just amuse the people you're around. Never stop being you, you're so nectar.
5. Winston.
In the beginning, we thought you were the totally normal one, but bit by bit, you showed your quirky side until you're straight up eating dinner with your cat and taking matching pictures. All this aside, you are a totally fun loving person who seems to always have the answers (even though the way you give them may be the weirdest form). Keep on going on because your goofiness keeps the rest of us going.
6. Coach.
Okay, let's begin with saying you're super intense. And, no you probably can't handle a crying girl, because it will just end with you yelling at her to stop. But, you're also intensely loving, even though you try to pretend you're not. The walls you built up are pretty much just a facade to not let people see how incredibly loving you are. You are there to motivate your friends through everything and anything, after all you are the OG Coach.
7. Tran.

At the end of the day, no matter which character you are, you win. Never stop being you because whatever you bring to the table will be completed by those around you.

7. Spencer
Jess and SpencerFox
Spencer obviously comes in last place. He cheated on Jess and broke her heart, and the two don't seem to have any real chemistry or serious feelings towards each other. The only plus side is that their breakup leads Jess to move into the loft!
6. Robby
Jess and Robby Fox
Oh, Robby... his and Jess' relationship was pretty much always a disaster. From their single and sufficient club to Jess dropping a literal gym weight on his face, this relationship has pretty much only gone downhill. Not to mention his previous relationship with Cece (weird), and finding out he and Jess are actually related.
5. Paul
Jess and Paul Fox
Paul is a nice guy and all, but he and Jess were a little too similar. Jess needs someone to balance her out, but Paul was always too sensitive and cried more than most people. He also told Jess he loved her after, what, a month?! Oh, Paul.
4. Russell
Jess and Russell Fox
Russell was also a nice guy and balanced out Jess' personality, but the two were never made to last. He was much older than Jess and a bit of a womanizer, but he surprisingly stayed in Jess' life longer than expected, even showing up to win her back at her wedding.
3. Ryan
Jess and RyanFox
The next three boyfriends were the only ones I thought Jess had a legitimate chance with. Ryan was a sweet guy and had great chemistry with Jess, but the relationship seemed to move a bit too fast. Their long-distance England/LA relationship ultimately did them in, but I overall thought Ryan was a solid boyfriend for Jess in the show.
2. Sam
Jess and Sam Fox
If Nick wasn't in the picture, I would want Jess to end up with Sam. He was a kind and attractive pediatric doctor and ultimately nearly matched Jess in weirdness (his season 5 comeback though). He and Jess always fit well together, and their relationship lasted several seasons in the show, beginning season 2 and picking back up season 5.

Ultimately, however, Jess was always meant to end up with none other than Nick Miller. Nick and Jess have been best friends since she moved into the loft, and the two are hilarious and compliment each other perfectly. Although the two break up in season 3, they ultimately get back together and get married in season 7. Woohoo!
