With Winter Around The Corner, Here Are 10 Underrated Fall Songs To Listen To Before The Season Is Over

I love music. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, whether I'm studying, driving, working out, cooking, etc. I'll be listening to music. I don't really have a favorite genre in all honesty. However, I do have certain playlists for certain moods. Like when I'm working out I'm usually listening to rock music or rap. When I'm driving or laying in bed I'll usually listen to my indie playlists. I've even made playlists for certain seasons.

When creating my fall playlist, I didn't want to add in the basic and mainstream songs. Not saying those songs are bad because they're not. I just wanted to add in some unique songs, ones that not many people knew about. That is how this article came about. I wanted to share some of my favorite undiscovered gems with music lovers, in hopes that they would find their next favorite song too.

I remember as I started middle school at the age of 11, my cringe-infested self listened to the same three bands repeatedly: the calm tunes of The Script, The Fray, and Coldplay. Although I still love these three bands very much (I saw Coldplay in concert during the summer before my junior year and it still stands as the best concert in terms of vocals and vibrancy), my music taste began to change drastically during my freshman year of high school. Why, you ask? High school is a challenging time for someone who's not known for their athletic achievements or looks. I achieved a lot for the tennis team, but that's not a sport that mattered. I was laboriously involved in the journalism department and eventually became editor of the newspaper and yearbook, but that wasn't considered important to most. I found my escape from the chaos that high school entails through somewhat more aggressive music, ranging from pop punk to whatever genre Twenty One Pilots is.
